Well, this depends. Will you have a 64 bit OS too in Athlon64? If yes,
then it will be ofcourse faster. Now If you have 32 bit I am not sure
but I believe it will be still faster than the P4 since Athlon64 has the
ability to run 32bit application quicker than the 32bit proccessors, but
better would be to check benchmarks about this.
