[dvd::rip] Preview frames not working

Subject: [dvd::rip] Preview frames not working
From: "Brian J. Murrell" <brian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I am trying to put a copy of a DVD on my PVR and using DVDRip to do it.
I have done this many many times before but this current one (Tarzan 2)
does not seem to want to grab a preview frame successfully.

The log for the preview frame operation says:

Sun Jun 26 23:50:01 2005 This task needs about 0 MB, 30613 MB are free.
Sun Jun 26 23:50:01 2005 Starting job (1): Grabbing preview - title #1 ,frame
#51570
Sun Jun 26 23:50:01 2005 Executing command: mkdir -m 0775 /tmp/dvdrip10712.ppm;
cd /tmp/dvdrip10712.ppm; dr_exec transcode  -H 10 -o snapshot -y ppm,null -x
vob,null -i /video//TarzanII/vob/001 -c 13-14 -L 1048272 && dr_exec convert
-size 720x480 /tmp/dvdrip10712.ppm/snapshot*.ppm
/video//TarzanII/tmp/TarzanII-001-preview-orig.jpg && dr_exec convert -size
720x480 /tmp/dvdrip10712.ppm/snapshot*.ppm
gray:/video//TarzanII/tmp/TarzanII-001-preview-orig.raw && rm -r
/tmp/dvdrip10712.ppm && echo DVDRIP_SUCCESS
Sun Jun 26 23:50:09 2005 Project file saved to '/video//TarzanII/tmp/backup.rip'
Sun Jun 26 23:50:10 2005 Job has PID 11297
Sun Jun 26 23:59:10 2005 Aborting command. Sending signal 1 to PID 11297...
Sun Jun 26 23:59:10 2005 Aborting job: Grabbing preview - title #1 ,frame #51570

Not sure what I should do to try to debug this. Obviously it seems to
be an issue in transcode in trying to grab the frame, but I'm not sure
how to debug further.

The particulars:

$ rpm -q transcode
transcode-1.0.0-0.beta3.3plf
$ rpm -qf $(which dvdrip)
Video-DVDRip-0.52.5-2plf

Any ideas?
