Sorry if this is off-topic, but I guess I'm one of the few who is having
major problems getting dvd::rip installed.
I've been pulling my hair out trying to get transcode 1.0.1 installed on
FC4. When I try to upgrade after my freshrpms install, I get the
following:
{--SNIP --}
[root@zu dvd_rip]# rpm -i transcode-1.0.1-19.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
warning: transcode-1.0.1-19.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature:
NOKEY, key ID 66534c2b
error: Failed dependencies:
libmjpegutils-1.8.so.0 is needed by transcode-1.0.1-19.rhfc4.at.i386
{--SNIP --}
When I go back and manually install everything so that libmjpegutils-1.8 is
in place, I continue to get the errors I describe in my eariler post - Nov
10: "Frame Grabbing *and* transcoding - not working"
So ... 2 questions:
1) Whats the difference between mjpegtools and mjpegtools-libs?
2) Does anyone know where I can get a binary package (RPM) of transcode
1.0.2 for FC4?
Ugh ... Many thanks!
- Peter

Try transcode 1.0.1 from ATrpms, here it works flawlessly.
