[dvd::rip] read dvd contents doesn't work with existing dvd image

There was a posting by Triffid Hunter on 8 Aug 2005 on this topic (with the 
same subject), and it seems that the problem is not yet solved in 0.97.6.
I want to "rip" the DVD, which I have already copied to the disk (e.g. with the 
dvdbackup utility) , so I have set the directory name of it in "Use existing 
DVD image located in this directory:" option in the Storage tab. On clicking 
the "Read DVD table of contents" I obtain the error message:

Job 'Reading TOC' failed.
Executed command: dvdrip-exec lsdvd -a -n -c -s -v -Op /dev/cdrom 2>/dev/null

It obvioulsy does not take into account that I want him to read from the 
harddisk.
