I guess I will have to do my own GUI shell to automate the process.

I found it odd that the people who created dvd::rip thought that people would always want to rip the complete movie, and never just the audio...

I forgot you can extract the track audio en wav format by selecting the
Tittle menu, then 'Create wav from selected audio track' and then use
lame or oggenc to encode this file.
