I just changed my distro to Ubuntu Edgy Eft and installed all the
official packages for dvd::rip 0.98.1 and transcode 1.0.2.
However I have the same problem previously explained as on my old
Mandriva 2005LE.
Any help about this??
Bye

Also tried to upgrade transcode to 1.0.2 but with no luck, same problem
here... another strange thing is that tccat NEVER dies also when I try
to kill a running job with the red X in dvdrip, and goes on streaming
the whole dvd until I issue manually a "killall -9 tccat".
Any help appreciated...
Thanks again

No change, I tried also deactivating the NTPL workaround but the
problem remains. Any ideas?
Thanks

After any operation involving transcode (preview grabbing, transcoding,
volume analyzing and so on), it seems that tccat goes on reading the
whole dvd insted of exiting, so grabbing a simple preview for resizing
takes a lot of time; but strangely if I execute the transcode command
from the command line everything goes well...
Probably activating/deactivating the NTPL workaround in the preferences
window helps.
