The error message you posted says your Glib is too old:

> Glib version 1.120 required--this is only version 1.082

So you have to install a recent Glib first, before compiling Gtk.

But there are recent dvd::rip packages for Mandriva, checkout 
http://plf.zarb.org/ (as mentioned on dvd::rip's "Installation" page, 
although it's still called "Mandrake" there; should change that...)
