[dvd::rip] DVD reader go crazy

Hi all, same days ago I tyred to rip a dvd but the dvd reader start to
do real strange noise and it was not possible to stop.
I've got installed the libdvdcss3. I was working with a previous
version of dvdrip, not the last.
I think it shold be a kind of new protection.
Do you know wich protection is it?
Do you know if the latest version of dvdrip is able to bypass it?
Now I have not the dvd I spoke obut so I can't try.
I aslo tryed to copy it with k3b and k9copy with the same resolts.
The most of time I was forced to shutdown the laptop to stop the reader.
