I sent this previously but it is awaiting the moderator since it was
57K. Here it is again with the RPM list detached.

Hi,
I bought my wife an iPod for Xmas and I'm trying to load some video of
the grandson for her taken off of a DVD her son made (not a commercial
DVD, home made).
Attempting to follow the instructions at
http://www.bunkus.org/dvdripping4linux/single/index.html#software
Anyway, I am able get through "Rip selected..." and the status bar at
the bottom returns to a display of the free disk space. But, then we
are hung. Nothing will click, ^C gets me out. The "Crop..." and other
tabs look like they are enabled. Log file is attached. When I run
dvdrip again, all the tabs are disabled except the ones that are
available for a new project.
You wanted a list of package versions, I have attached the output of rpm
-qa, overkill but at least you'll have all the versions that you
want.... Everything on the system is from rpm, I haven't built
anything. I have loaded the codecs, mplayer, etc from packman.
Platform is Intel, 64 bit dual core, 2GB RAM and plenty of disk space.
BTW, not your subject but maybe you know. I was able to follow the
alternate instructions and get as far as creating an avi that mplayer
will play. So far I haven't been able to get from there to a file that
iTunes will import. If you happen to know...
Merry Christmas,
Len

It seems that transcode ripping stopped short.
The movie has 154400 frames, but only 44522
were ripped. This is most likely a problem with your
transcode/libdvdread installation, resp. a problem with
this specific DVD.
