[dvd::rip] can't read title information

I've just installed this, but whenever I try to read a DVD, I get:

Invalid IFO for title 4 (VTS_04_0.IFO)
Invalid IFO for title 4 (VTS_04_0.BUP)

I've tried multiple disks; all have the same failure.  I'm using
transcode-1.0.2-3.lvn5.1 and libdvdread-0.9.7-4.fc5.at, which seems to
be the relevant info.  Also dvdrip 0.98.2.  xine reads the dvd's just
fine.  FC5, if that matters.
