Subject: [dvd::rip] Filters button greyed but dependencies OK

I have been using dvd::rip for a year now and I think it's a great app.

I have got really good results using it.

Now I would like to fix a problem that did not bother me much at first but I am now finding annoying: I do not have access to the "Filters" button in the "Encode" tab. This button is greyed.

I have been working on this problem for several hours now, and I think I really need help.

My distro is Mandriva 2006. I have installed dvd::rip manually, package after package, because I wanted to be able to write an installation script for dvd::rip, so I could use this script on a friend's computer. He does not have internet access from this box so I wanted to be able to come with all the packages on a CD and install dvd::rip with a script. I also want to be able to reproduce the same installation on all my computers automatically, so I want the installation to be scriptable and to be in control of the packages I install.

At least I am able to give a detailled list of what I have installed.

First of all, here is the text output of dvd::rip >> Debug >> Check dependencies:

 Program Version
 -------------------------------
 dvd::rip             0.97.6
 transcode 1.0.2
 ImageMagick 6.2.4
 xvid4conf 1.12
 subtitle2pgm not installed
 lsdvd not installed
 rar 3.50
 mplayer 1.0
 ogmtools 1.5
 dvdxchap 1.5
 mjpegtools 1.6.3
 cdrdao 1.2.0
 vcdimager not installed
 mkisofs 2.01.01
 cdrecord 2.01.01
 dvdrecord not installed
 xine not installed
 fping 2.4
 -------------------------------

From what I understand, the filters feature in dvd::rip is using
ImageMagick, so it looks like it is correctly installed and even recognized by dvd::rip. I believe ImageMagick is working on my computers because I have other programs depending on it and they work.

Here is the list of the packages I use in order to install dvd::rip on y computers (this is just the output of ls in my dvdrip installation directory):

avifile-divx4-0.7.43-3plf.i586.rpm

I do not know if the information provided above is enough to help me. If it is not I will provide additional info as requested.

Thank you in advance for your help. Some of the movies I want to rip really need a little bit of denoising, they are waiting for your friendly help!
