Hi.
I'd like to backup my DVD collection...
I did some research into codecs and so and what it all comes down to is, that
I'd like to use MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 as video codec and AAC LC as audio codec. As
container format I've planned MP4...
First of all,... dvd::rip seems to support H.264 through ffmpeg,... but on the
ffmpeg site (documentation / codecs) it says ffmpeg only support decoding of
H.264... how does that work? Or does ffmpeg use x264 for encoding (if so does it
use up-to-date code of x264?)?
Wouldn't it be better to directly use x264?
Is dvd::rip going to support AAC (through FAAC) and MP4? And if so is there a
time schedule ;-) ?
Best wishes,
Chris.
