Probably, yes. It could be a problem with this DVD (and some others...
well, actually a lot of others...) and its digital protection
techniques, but this list isn't the right place to discuss about this
topic.
When you see strange things like that when ripping from DVD, almost
certainly the problem lies beneath transcode, because dvd::rip is only a
GUI that 'glues' together some of the most popular tools for dvdripping
and video encoding (and it does it very well! ;) )
