dvd::rip tries to mount your DVD (or tries to determine the mount point
of your DVD drive, if it's already mounted) to get access to the IFO
files on the disc. To accomplish that dvd::rip reads your /etc/fstab and
/etc/mtab and lookups the DVD device you configured there. Obviously
this or the mounting itself fails for some reason.
If you didn't mount the DVD manually (or by automounter) yet, try to
mount it explicitly before starting dvd::rip. Or the other way around:
try to umount it, if it was mounted until now. Probably that helps.
Also check if you are able to access resp. mount your DVD drive as a
normal user (not being root).
If nothing helps, please send the content of your /etc/fstab and
/etc/mtab files and the DVD device name you configured in dvd::rip.

Jörn
