I am using dvd::rip 0.98.3 patched with the
dvdrip-0.98.3-snapffmpeg.patch file and encounter a hang in the
transcode process under specific conditions (I do not think the patch
is the problem, but I have included it for completeness.)
My setup is as follows:
- xvid4 codec, either single-pass or 2-pass (both exhibit the same
problem)
- ogg container
- A frame range has been selected. I have tried several ranges,
including 1-600, 1-800, and 1-1000 and all show the same problem.
Transcoding the entire title without a frame range will complete.
- transcode 1.0.2 is installed
The transcode process will get up to between 97% and 99% and stall
without using any CPU usage. When executing the transcode commands
that dvd::rip provides in a console, the same thing happens without any
additional logging. At the console it stalls with an ETA of 1 second
left.
If I leave my frame range and all other options the same but switch to
the ffmpeg and h264 codec, the process completes normally.
If this belongs in the transcode list rather than this one, let me know
and I will post the problem there.
