hello

i´m using dvdrip often in the past. Now i want use it on a new 64bit sidux
(debian sid) system. I put

# debina mulitmedia 64
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid main
deb-src http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid main

in the sources.list, make apt-get udate and apt-get install dvdrip

The installition works without errors.

But if want start dvdrip there is the following error message appears:

Can't call method "config" on an undefined value
at /usr/share/perl5/Video/DVDRip/Depend.pm line 171.
Compilation failed in require at (eval 10) line 3.
        ...propagated at /usr/share/perl/5.8/base.pm line 84.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/perl5/Video/DVDRip.pm line 16.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/dvdrip line 96

In the mailing list there´s an info, that this means, the perl event module is
missing. An theres´ s an explanation who to install from CPAN.

i don´t understand the problem: If i installed dvdrip on the 32bit box on the
same way as described above, the system runs fine. there´s no need to install
a separte event-modul.

Any idea are welcome?

Thanks

uwe
