[dvd::rip] cluster nodes offline - help!

Hi there.

I am running dvd::rip version 0.98.4 on four Mandriva 2007 machines. I have 
one configured as the master and the other three as nodes. I added each node 
and run the test for each one. The tests pass fine for all. However the 
three nodes then just show as offline. Nothing I can do will make them go 
online. The only machine that shows idle is the master.

Some setup details:

All machines are on the same network.
Each machine can ping every other machine using their hostnames.
I have ssh all set up. Each machine successfully can ssh -x to all the other 
machines without a password.
I have a NFS mount for the files and each node can read and write 
successfully to the share.
fping is installed on all machines. All nodes show as alive.
dvdrip-master is running correctly and the 3 slaves are pointing to it.
If I run the cluster manager on each node it correctly shows all the nodes 
and their statuses, so it would appear they are successfully communicating 
with the master.

I'm tearing my hair out here! Can someone please help?
