Not really, no - DVD subtitles are stored as images on the disc.  This
means outputting to srt would require an OCR step.  This can be done but
it's far from foolproof (the fonts used differ from disc to disc and
they also often switch between italic and plain text).

I use the attached script to get srt files out from a DVD.  It requires
transcode, aspell, subtitleripper and some OCR software (I use gocr).
It's a pretty manual process in the end though.
