[dvd::rip] WMV etc

I came across dvdrip whilst researching a way for a freind to cluster
encoding wmv. He has an enormous amount of video that needs to be
crunched.

I dont think dvdrip can do wmv but does anyone know of a way that this
could be accomplished? I work for a company that builds beowulf
clusters so I do have quite a good technical background with this
kinda stuff.
